Wireless Capabilities Disabled | Lenovo G570

I have Windows 7 Ultimate x64 . My laptop has Atheros AR9285 WiFi Model and I have installed the drivers for that but my wifi doesn't show up on the list infact no connections show up when I troubleshoot it says "wifi capabilities disabled try turning on the swith in front" and it already is on. I also tried Fn+F5 and it didn't work. I didn't have this problem on Windows 10. But my laptop doesn't perform very good with windows 10. So I decided to switch to Windows 7 and it has been 2 days since I had this problem and I am trying to figure it out since then and nothing has worked so far. Can anyone help me ? Please.

PS. I tried switching the versions of the drivers and it didnt work. I also checked if the required servies (ie. WLAN , Workstation , Network Location ... ) are enabled.

    Hi iambivert, welcome to sevenforums,

You could try the following first:

Start > Control Panel > Device Manager > Network Adapters and uninstall what is in there.
    Then restart the computer.

    I hope this helps!
