Need PCI simple communications controller /ME for ASUS Z370-E board

Have everything working with Win 7 on my Gen 8 3.7 intel and ASUS Z370-E 300 series board except the only error messages that keeps showing up under device manager is "PCI simple communications controller"... which I understand is a AMT/Management Engine something or other I need. I've downloaded chipset stuff both for Win7 and Win10 from ASUS but no luck so far getting that triangle to go away...

    any advice?

    Hi,
    Greets,
    Sir,

1.Make a system image and system restore points for precaution.

    2. Check whether KB 2685811 is already installed or not ? This tiny portable utility will allow you to check if the hot fix is already installed or not.
    Speccy - Builds
    ( 2nd download option > Speccy-Portable > extract the zip > launch Speecy64.exe > Select 'Operating System' > Go down to 'Hotfix' & click & expand > click & expand 'installed' and check for KB2685811. )
If not installed, then download & install KB2685811 x64 bit & restart.

3.I checked your products support page and found the driver for win 7 listed in win 10 drivers as 'Management Engine Interface' while expanding 'Chipset' section by clicking 'See All Downloads'
    The driver is :
    Version 11.7.0.1057
    2018/05/31 ; 66.24 MBytes
    Management Engine Interface
    Improve system stability.

    4. Extract the zip files ( Speccy & Driver )
I think one should always have a archiever/extractor installed. My choice is 7zip 64 :
    https://www.7-zip.org/

    Let us know.

    Thanks & Regards. ...

( Always refrain from using beta programs & drivers )
