    Bluetooth issues

So I have a Generic Bluetooth adapter that plugs into the usb, it's the small usb sized. Windows automatically downloaded and installed drivers I'm assuming from microsoft/windows update. Everything installed properly as far as I can guess, however when I go to pair a device the device either 1. pairs but I get an error that it's not installed like it failed to add the device, or 2. it will say successful and the device is showing in bluetooth devices but it's not connecting or it connects for a second and disconnects. I've tried a bluetooth speaker and bluetooth ear buds.
I'm just wondering if there is a place I can download a better/more reliable Generic Bluetooth driver.

You should check the manufacturer's website.

There is literally nothing on it. It's a white Dongle with a Bluetooth symbol in blue and it says Bluetooth 4.0 that's it. Very Basic.
