    Searching for sound card driver

Both my Win 10 PC and my Win 7 PC have changed my audio output device to "S/PDIF" which the pc's do not have. The Win 7 machine has a SoundMax Integral High Definition chip on the motherboard which is the preferred output; I have also installed an Asus Xonar DG PCI soundcard to replace the SoundMax when it became unusable but cannot find a driver for it in Win 7. Can anyone give me a good link to a working driver for one or the other of these two output choices? I miss my streaming audio!

Thanks for your response, but your download link prompts my antivirus to pop up and complain. Says the website contains possibly dangerous stuff, so I haven't downloaded.

Does the "Windows Repair Tool do anything? Every one of Mr. Gate's kind gifts of this sort have proven to be failures in my experience. Or they create unresolvable problems. So I am gun-shy but willing to learn.

I copied SIW2s link from profile page on SevenForums. Your AV is reporting a false positive.
Here's another way, from SevenForums home page, on the top of the page, click on the link New Posts, look through the list for SIW2 on the right side of the page, you will find that, click on it and you will arrive at SIW2's profile page and can PM there.

What AV are you using? I am extremely security conscious and insure that any links I post are clean downloads or website links.

Wishing you the best! Have a GREAT ONE!

AV (now that I think I know what this means) is Malwarebytes. IT's pretty twitchy.

Don't see any way to PM you from the "New Posts" listing and haven't gotten your PM if you sent me one.

This sound card issue seems to be endemic in Win7 and Win10.

Where can I get a Win7 ISO file with valid key?

Sorry for the use of acronyms. I didn't say PM ME I said PM SIW2.

Go to the home page, click the little home button (black home icon) upper right corner of screen. On that page, click on Drivers, then look on the right side of the page, you should see SIW2's posts. if you click on one of the blue hypertext links blue SIW2 (not this example here), it will take you to SIW2's profile page. Visitor message is the PM (Private Message). If a drive is available, SIW@ should be able to direct you to it.

Is there something wrong with your CD key (validation key)?

I don't believe you can get purchase a new CD key (validation key) for Windows 7 any more. All of the Windows 7 DVDs with keys available on the internet are for OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer). They are tied with slick table to the particular brand, i.e. HP computers, Dell computers, ect. Each manufacturer obtains a license from Microsoft OEM to install Windows 7 on their machines. I'm not sure if there is a different OEM key for a laptop verses a Desktop or Tablet, etc.

If you need an ISO (ISO is simply the file format) of Windows 7 you can download it from
TechBench by WZT - RG Adguard download Ultimate all version x86/x32 x64as that is the only Microsoft Download link that works. All Windows 7 versions are included in every Windows 7 distribution, they can be made available from any windows 7 iso - either by removing the ei.cfg file from the sources folder, or by using eicfg_removal_utility.zip

You cannot copy and paste and ISO to a DVD or USB drive, you can burn the ISO to DVD withImgBurn
ImgBurn: Burn ISO Images to DVD
    or
to USB with Rufus 3.1 or Rufus 3.1 Portable
Create Bootable USB Flash Drive from ISO image with Rufus

You cannot use your CD key with any other version that what is installed on your machine, by your specs, that is Win7 Ultimate x32 which is x86, one in the same.

The ei.cfg file is a text file in the wim folder, it limits your choice to whichever version you purchased. I've done both, removed the ei.cfg file or use the removal utility. To use the utility, you click on it, it open a window for you to choose the Windows ISO

You can add an exclusion to Malwarebytes to permit access to a website or page. You can do so with SIW2s profile page and clicking on the link I provided prior won't be blocked any more. You can also inform Malwarebytes that is a false positive and they will correct their database accordingly.

Here's a link on how to:

Add exclusions to Malwarebytes for Windows | Official Malwarebytes

FYI: I've been working with computers since my first which was a TRS-80 Model 100 introduced in 1983.
