Upgraded to Win 10, scanner problem

Hi Guys.

I have an expensive Canon 4200f scanner that won't work following installation of Windows 10 pro.
It worked fine on Win 7 ultimate, using Vuescan pro.
I had to use a driver from the Canon website first, and then Vuescan did the rest.
I've tried using that Canon driver in compatibility mode, but no good.
Vuescan says it can't see the usb scanner, without the driver, even though Vuescan says my scanner is supported.
Can you help, please?

We have a sister Windows 10 forum. Windows 10 Help Forums Might be better to post there since this is a Win 10 issue.

Is this your scanner? If so, the Win 10 drivers are available to download here: CanoScan 4200F

That was the page I read. If you also read it, you will see that no drivers are offered there.

Canon will not issue drivers for this model to support the Windows 10 operating system. The Windows 7 drivers should function in the Windows 10 environment with some limitations which are currently unknown to Canon.

I have installed an old Ricoh MP 171 SPF printer/fax/copier/scanner unit into my Windows 7 32 bit system and used the PCL 6 driver. I think that this is only a printer driver and suspect that the scanner function requires a separate driver? The printer is being seen by Windows and is working...

I did the upgrade about 3 years ago and have since become a Alpha/Beta tester for Quicken 2014. One of the requirements to be a tester this year was to not test 2014 on same computer that 2013 in installed on by using a different computer or installing a VM on your current computer; that is what...

Scanner Problem
It may just be time to retire it, but until now my HP5510v has worked reasonably well. However now, even though it will preview a document as well as always, it will not scan it. It takes forever for it to finish a pass, with the light carriage moving extremely slow, and stopping ~ every 1/4 to...
