    @bigmck : Sir,
I forgot to mention that first of all you have to check if everything else is right in the device manager ? Have a look at :
Device Manager - Finding Unknown Devices

    Thanks & Regards. ...

This USB 3 driver search has been one a hard one. I have loaded all of your suggested drivers, no luck. The new USB card did not come with a driver. I guess they assume everyone uses Win 10. I have gone to the manufacturer, no luck. I guess I will just put this in the "Loss" column. They say "You can't Win them all". I guess it is true. Thanks,

Let me ask this. I have been putting the drivers in the "USB Drivers" folder in the Windows folder. Since I have tried so many, I have not taken them out and there are many in there. Does that make a difference?

    That is a good question!

I would assume that the more drivers you have [especially those not needed], could cause conflict and confusion to the system. Not to mention clogging up your system with irrelevant system files.

It is like having a big jar of all different types and sizes of screws, but there is only one screw in the jar that is right for the job. If you are not careful, you will end up using the wrong screw and making a hash of it!

At the end of the day, there is only going to be one or two correct drivers etc. that will solve the issue.

    I hope this helps!

    Hi bigmck,
    Sir,
    1) Well said by Sir Paul Black.
    2) How your Device Manager shows ? Is everything else is right there ? ( SNAP )
    3) Can you tell the Hardware Id of the USB 3.0 card ?

    Let us know.

    Thanks & Regards. ...

Presumably it has a backplate with usb3 ports. How many ports?

If we can identify the model, we should be able to find the correct drivers.

It must be either the pvu3 series driver download here:

Or the older pme series, driver download here:
