Windows 7: Need Windows 7 drivers for Aspire TC-780

Did you change the connection type in your monitor controls when you switched to HDMI? It might not support it.

In the NVIDIA Control Center, do you have it set to use the Advanced 3D settings in the Adjust image settings option? Just wondering why you don't have 3D processing.

Windows 7 Ultimate x32 With Sp1 + Vista Ultimate x32 with Sp1 & Sp2 !!

Hi All,
Greets,
Sir(s),
1. In the NVIDIA Control Center, do you have it set to use the Advanced 3D settings in the Adjust image settings option? Just wondering why you don't have 3D processing.

@wither 2 : Sir, that is a good one, it just opened my eyes, I was probably dozing off!
Though his NVIDIA card has died, fundamentally, its a good point to consider even for Intel one.
I had been thinking of modding the igdlh.inf driver file & then directly using it to install the device from Device Manager. But i think that way he would not be installing something like NVIDIA/Intel Control Centre.
The large driver packages which are often bloating materials for a person like me, is quite useful for a person who do a lot of things with the device & want to have full control over it features.
Now I think after modding the driver, one should start with the 'Setup.exe' from the extracted exe/zip folder.
@BlueBonnett : Sir, take proper cover ( System Image ) & be ready for the experiments!

2. Did you change the connection type in your monitor controls when you switched to HDMI? It might not support it
wither 2 :It sounds strange. Connection Settings : Yes but Not Supporting HDMI ??
A monitor having an inbulit HDMI port on it & not supporting HDMI ??

3. wither 2 : How to select/choose an HDMI cable ?

4. These questions are popping up on my mind. Can anybody of you explain me briefly?

Why a laptop has two graphic adapters/options at all ? Does an integrated one have limitations over an external one ? does an integrated one not work as good as an external one ? I read it somewhere about a particular function where an internal card does not come into play for that functioning when an external one is installed ?

5. I am evaluating those two links & waiting for some answers/clarifications from the people.

Let me know.

Thanks & Regards. ...

My monitor has an HDMI port so how would it not support it? I didn't mess with the controls but I think it adjusts auto. I'll see next time as soon as I install a proper driver for the onboard card.
The HDMI cable works, there's just a lot of color banding. I'm thinking if there was no support, it wouldn't work at all.

The reason I have no Direct3D is because I have no proper drivers. Upon installing the driver, I did have Direct3D and all the good stuff but it's packed with adware so I did a system restore reverse until I find a proper one.

Never mind my NVIDIA card, it is dead. All its related software has been uninstalled.

Hi BlueBonnett,
Sir,
I am very close to solving the driver problem just one more day! Once a proper driver is installed then follow the other things.

To all: Yes- it was stupid of me to question if the monitor supported HDMI. After I left the forum, I realized that but didn't come back and fix it.

Didn't know the GeForce® GT 730 was dead.

@wither 2,
It wasn't a GeForce 730, it was a 9500GT which I've had for 9 years before it died 2 weeks ago.

Also, in your defense, your question wasn't THAT stupid. I mean, I could've been using an adapter for the HDMI or something. Uncommon but not moronically rare. But yeah, we're all flawed human beings.

@Vineet Garg,
Thanks, friend.

So,

Here is the workout : ( It is all from those two links )

1. Download the 32 driver here & extract it to a folder. https://web.archive.org/web/20180323...45.23.4860.zip

2. Download this file & Change the extension from .txt to .inf

igdlh.txt

3. From the extracted driver folder, replace the original driver file igdlh.inf with this modded one, close the window & come out totally.

4. Now open the extracted folder, execute igxpin.exe to install the driver & Restart the pc.

What to expect from this driver ?

1. The person said that he did all the other things fine but did not try HDMI.

2. Apart from the device driver, one should also have 'Intel Control Centre / Configurator' installed. It may be accessed from the task bar &/or Control Panel. One can change/control Graphics settings from there.

3. He said ''as long as you don't plan on playing Red Dead Redemption 2 on it you will be just fine''

He mentioned some ODDs in the Device manager!

He mentioned some ODDs in the Device Manager though the things were working all fine for him. Is/are that true for you as well ? Point out/Make out them & take a note of it. Observe those things for some time. You need not try to mess with them or making any changes. Just notify & report about these things :

(a) In the Device Manager, check what is/are listed items under Display Adapters? And if they are all showing that they are working well/normal ?

(b) What are the Hardware IDs for the listed items under Display Adapters ?

(c) If there is/are any Unknown Device(s) ? What are the Hardware IDs for them ? He disabled that but should not you! Observe it for some time.

EDIT : While one link tells about how to mod that 32 driver & use , the other one seems to say just to install that! But the driver doesn't seem to support the device without mod. I think it's more of experimentation!

Just To Mention :
(a) System Restore Points don't live longer.
(b) .inf & .txt extensions should be defaulted/assigned to 'Notepad' only. Changing .inf files into .doc may create problems instead change them into .txt files because both are assigned/defaulted to Notepad.
(c) While following the link to mod the driver, take care that is for Intel 620 & not Intel 630. So, need to change that line accordingly.

Let us know.

Thanks & Regards. ...

Page failed to load, said the security certificate could not be verified. When I tried to force download, it still failed because it said the source file could not be read.
