Need Windows 7 drivers for Aspire TC-780

Hi, I'm trying to migrate my Windows 7 SP1 Ultimate 32-bit OS on an SSD to a new, Aspire TC-780 computer but I cannot find the proper drivers.
The OS works but I have no internet, the sound is very quiet and none of the USB ports are being recognized, plus the video quality is pretty bad.
Thanks in advance for any help.

    Hi BlueBonnett,

Did you try cloning the disk and transferring it?

This should get you started => ATC-780 Ethernet Driver for Win7.

    I hope this helps!

What for? My system disk is on an SSD, I have no better media to copy it to.
I already browsed that page and the realtek links return a 404 page. The entire realtek.com website is in Chinese for some reason so I cannot navigate it.

    Hi All,
    Greets,
    @BlueBonnett : Sir,
    1. Are you sure that your processor is 'Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-7400 CPU'. Here is a bad news that you would have some tough time running Win 7 on it , especially Graphics & Windows Updates. It comes under Kaby Lake or 7th generation Intel processor
Here is your official product support page : Aspire TC-780 - Tech Specs | Desktops | Acer Australia
Here is your processor details : https://ark.intel.com/products/97147...p-to-3-50-GHz-

    2. Use only Win 8.1 or Win 10 on this platform!
    OR
Find & use modded drivers for graphics & use DISM++ to make windows 7 updates.
    OR
Here is a small description of the issue : SkyLake\KabyLake\CoffeLake\Ryzen Threadripper with Win7 ? Look Here!

    Thanks & Regards. ...

    To be contd. ...

    3. As said the problems actually get critical with 8th & 9th gen processors. I have seen no drivers availability even for Audio, Touchpad, USB wireless mouse, etc.
While with 7 gen, i have seen cases where all drivers were available & only a modded graphics driver was needed to do it all. In that case we can't leave hope just here!

    4. First we have to make sure that all the chipset & storage drivers are installed well. Then we can think about other drivers. So, first we should get the 'Hardware IDs' for all unknown/uninstalled devices & Graphics. Audio is not working @ optimum but it is still working. So, once we confirm that all chipset & storage are installed, we can go for wireless & later on think about Audio drivers & others if any.

    5. Hope you are lucky enough to get it all working But it would be about experimentation! Make a system image of the present status. I would go with Macrium Reflect Free : 3 Free Norton Ghost Alternatives to Create a Full Windows Image Backup • Raymond.CC

    Thanks & Regards. ...

    AND

as your running a 32bit OS, youve got 5GB of unusable RAM.

    5.5 actually.

    @Vineet Garg
I have all relevant drivers installed now thanks to Windows 7 Image Updater - Automatyczny aktualizator obrazu Windows 7 dla nowych maszyn (Sky/Kaby/Coffee Lake , Ryzen Threadripper) - Forum PCLab.pl

My audio was still being run by the old audio driver so it was very quiet. Installing this generic one fixed that.
Realtek HD Audio Codec Driver 2.82 for Windows Vista/7/8/10 Driver - TechSpot

The only problem remaining is the bad video quality, primarily lack of direct3D which is easily solved by using my old 9500 GT Nvidia card but benchmarks show that this integrated HD Graphics 630 chip is 4 times faster so I thought I'd give it a chance. Unfortunately, this PC only has a VGA port which I despise to the max so for that reason alone I'm just gonna get another video card.
Why is VGA even used in 2018? That's ridiculous.
I picked this machine up from a pawn shop for $200, knowing that anything will be at least as good if not better than my 2010 PC. It's pathetic how little technological progress was made in 8 years.

Anyhow you almost made to it!

    Hi All,
    Greets,
    @BlueBonnett : Sir,

    1) Good to see that anyhow you have made this far!

    2) as your running a 32bit OS, youve got 5GB of unusable RAM.
    5.5 Actually.

That's quite important resource to not use! If you are satisfied with win 7 32 running on this pc. You can use at least 4Gb ram as RamDisk, Virtualisation and/or Android Emulation. I think RAM Disk is the best way to actually not waste your resources & in fact making the best of it.

RAM Disk : 13 Free RAM Disk Tools Benchmarked for Read and Write Speed • Raymond.CC

Virtualisation : How To Install and Test Windows Without Affecting The Currently Installed OS • Raymond.CC

( Virtualisation can also be used to run Linux, etc. from within windows )

Android emulation. For eg. : https://www.howtogeek.com/97920/how-...th-bluestacks/

    3) If you are comfortable with the Generic Audio Driver ?
It is always said not to change/update the driver(s) till it is not causing issue(s)!

    4) For Graphic card, Please let me know the 'Hardware Id'. I think there is some misinterpretation & driver is the problem. A proper win 7 driver may change the whole scenario.

Device Manager - Finding Unknown Devices

( Instead of looking for 'Unknown Device', Get 'Hardware Id' for 'VGA'. I need only Hardware Id )

(It seems win 7 does not have an in built driver for your graphic card & so, it is using a very basic/old/generic driver to just make sure that it works.
Chipset, Graphics & Storage are very basic/essential functionalities to install, setup & troubleshoot the OS easily. While making/designing modern OSs, it is/was taken care off that these functionalities work even if not at their optimum!)

    EDIT:
    5. Take the cover & try this modded win 7 x32 driver for Intel HD Graphics 630 : It has to be forcefully installed! Make 'Restart' after installing the driver.

    The Driver : igdlh.inf - Google Drive

    6. The Method to Install the driver : Driver Install - Device Manager

What you have to do is :

    Place the ' igdlh.inf ' in a folder,
    Follow Part 1:
    Enter Device Manager,
Select 'VGA' under 'Display adapters' & try to update the driver for it.
    Do Step 4
In Step 5 & 6, Browse to the 'above' folder, Click the folder & OK,
Need not do Step 7 as the driver is already extracted & ready to install,
    Do Step 8,9 & 10

    Anything Else ? Any Problems ? Any Confusions/Doubts ?

    Please let us know.

    Thanks & Regards. ...

I have all 8GB available now thanks to PAE. I have not had more than 3.5GB of RAM for the past 8 years so this is a major breather. I know about Ramdisks and virtualization. Actually, I had to run a 64-bit Linux VM within my 32-bit Windows to do video encoding with the best codec and you can imagine what a pain in the ass that was. Now I can actually dedicate the excess RAM to that VM and not walk on eggshells anymore. Awesome.

    VGA adapter hardware ID:
    PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_5912&SUBSYS_108E1025&REV_04
    PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_5912&SUBSYS_108E1025
    PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_5912&CC_030000
    PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_5912&CC_0300

I didn't realize this PC had an HDMI port so I bought an HDMI cable. I never used HDMI before and until now I confused it with DVI which is what I used before.

Unfortunately, the quality is even worse now. I have worse color depth and much banding in addition to no direct3D processing so I look forward to that driver.

I'll try the modded driver you linked to if you still recommend it after the updated info I gave you. However, it says VGA which repels me. I do not intend to use VGA at all.

    Thanks.
