I'm curious as to why it's using two null drivers. Also, in it's device properties, it shows it as a Disc Drive for the USB Device.

In the Settings for the printer in Device Manager, what driver is installed?

    Hello ha33y
I have a TS6150 with the same drivers, and experienced similar problems. Do you have a wireless router? I completely uninstalled the printer and then reinstalled it, connecting to the router via Wireless Direct. It is much easier to use.

Check the Canon website for the drivers: -

Canon : PIXMA Manuals : TS5000 series : Connecting the Printer to a Network

Click "Available Connection Methods" -"Wireless Direct."

    - go to "Wireless Direct" then "Available Connection Methods" (blue text)

    - go to "Using printer with Wireless Direct"

    Follow instructions onscreen.
Note that you can also connect up to 5 devices: I have 2 PC's, 2 phones and a tablet connected and can print from all 5.
    Hope that helps.

I just purchased the ts5051 (not sure of the US alternative)
    I am using PC win 7 x64
All installation went smoothly, drivers, software, all good. The printer is now on my system via USB. Appears as the default printer in printers and devices..great!
I try to print....NO PRINTER IS INSTALLED ON YOUR SYSTEM
The short answer is install VueScan and see if it fixes the problem but if anyone wants to know more, keep reading.

This is an old tread but I see Canon still ripping off people with faulty and incompatible printer drivers.
I had a similar issue with my Canon CS9000F, I tried "everything" before calling the "outsourced" (and cheap) customer support.
An arrogant, rude and uneducated Indian guy (I wasn't able to understand his Indian English) after his basic text scripts failed he pretended me to "format" the hard disc and reinstall Windows because that was the problem!
I refused because the computer was a fresh install so it couldn't be Windows's fault.
He then pretended me to give him full access to my computer through Teamwiever and I also refused because I understood that that irritant and incompetent guy was doing training at my expenses.
Long story short, I gave up dealing with him because he was ruining my mood.
After reading "tonnes" of web pages I came to the conclusion to try VueScan.
I installed it and the scanner worked, it totally took 1 minute!!!
If I were you, I would return the scanner and in the future avoid touching any Canon scanner!

    Canon Printers?

As a retired Computer/Printer tech, I have a two word solution to all Canon Printer Problems....
    "GO EPSON"!

I used to work in a printer repair center, and when a Canon Printer would come in for repair, it might take two to three weeks for us to get a new part from Canon, even under warranty.

While on the other hand, if I needed a part for an Epson printer, I'd pick up the phone and call the Epson parts depot, and have the part by 10AM the next morning.

I'll be picking up a new Epson XP-6000 (AIO) Printer today. It prints directly on CD/DVD's.

    Good Luck Mate!

What I've learned is to always pay with a credit card so that I can apply for a charge back and get my money.
No need to deal with faulty drivers, no need to struggle with scammers!
