Direct 3D and DirectDraw Acceleration problem.

    Hi everyone!

I recently installed windows 7 ultimate on my PC. My specs are:

    1GB RAM DDR1
Asus motherboard (Dunno whch one but i know its old)
    Intel Pentium 4 2.4GHZ
    Nvidia GeForce 6000 graphic card.

Ok so i have directx 11. I went to RUN and typed DXDIAG. I can see that directx 11 is installed but when i go to the display tab, i see that Direct 3D Acceleration, DirectDraw Acceleration and AGP texture acceleration are all NOT AVAILABLE. There is no option to enable these. Can someone help? I've tried to Google it but i cant find anything.

PS. I installed Windows 7 on my laptop and everything is enabled there. It has Intel Dual Core, 1GB RAM and i'm not sure abt anything else.

Your card doesn't support DX11 so even though it is installed it won't work with your card. Could you go to device manager and copy and paste a view of your display adapter? On the Nvidia site thier is no listing for a 6000 card. It would have to be a 6100 or higher to be supported. Your system just might not be capable of running windows seven properly without more ram and a better graphics card. Fabe NVIDIA DRIVERS 195.62 WHQL

Install the latest nvidia drivers. a 6100 is barely capable, but capable of Dx9 non the less.

Barely? What are you talking about, nVidia's cards that support DX9 go back to the FX series...

@ Soul: Please fill in your system specs... Also, which one did you install: x86 or x64?

I mean it as i say it. the 6100 card has the hardware bits that make it directx9 compliant, but it is barely capable of running anything using direct3d9 effects at resolutions higher then 640x480.

@soul when you were asked to fillin your specs thier is a place in your user cp, so it shows LT hand corner bottom of the screen for everyone to see just by one click. Like this. Thanks Direct 3D and DirectDraw Acceleration problem.-usercp-1.png

    ASUS Motherborad using OSD Program
I have a maximus IV extreme-Z And GF GTX580 graphics card. Asus OSD Program is causing the directdraw and 3d accelerater to be deactivated. Conflict Vided drivers I can load nvidia drivers and everthing is ok until i power down and start up again miss directdraw and acceleraters- I uninstall OSD gaming program and everthig works fine
