Windows Update: Should I install the driver updates?

I download all the important updates. What are the risks of downloading the optional and recommended updates like drivers? Or is it better to wait?

I wouldn't let Windows update your drivers. Do that yourself manually from Nvidia, etc. In fact, that feature should be turned off.

If you want latest device drivers you have to visit device manufacturer website.

you system specs for computer model is still incomplete, 386DX. you put down HP as your computer but did not put in the series or model number (ex. HP Pavilion Gaming 790, HP Compaq Elite 8300, etc.)

avoid applying driver updates from Windows Update and always obtain new drivers directly from the manufacturer's support site (in this case HP)

There aren't any stickers on the outside or rear, just HP. Where can I find this within Windows?

You can try to run this program or CPUz to get system information.
