Touchpad Smart Gesture for ASUS X756U-K

    Hello everyone

I have suceeded install windows 7 on my ASUS X756U-QK with VGA driver working perfectly.

Unfortunately, I cant find any driver for the touchpad. On the Asus website the version is 4.0, but install fails with error"There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected. Contact your support personnel or package vendor."

But I cant install an older version either it tells me I dont have the touchpad for this version. And elan drivers dont work neither
"ASUS Smart gesture does not support your touchpad function" with an older version of smart gesture

    Help anyone?

    thanks

I have succeeded installing the whole software (by killing the installation process after the error message, so it won't uninstall the whole thing),
Now, it appears in control panel and I can change the parameters of the touchpad.
But still it's not working. In device manager: I can't see it, even "unknown devices" seem not to be the touchpad.
It's working in the BIOS though.
I have seen some workaround on the net, but nothing work here.

I already installed the ATK drivers (with brightness hotkeys failing btw)
but smart gesture doesn't recognize the touchpad, and install fails.
The touchpad works in the BIOS as I already said. But there must be some trick to make it work in seven
I found this site on the internet
The guy has the same problem as me
But idk... maybe should I update the BIOS to last ver?

    Ok,
    what I was missing ...
was the Intel I/O I2C driver for windows 7, That I found on lenovo site

Since, now the touchpad appears in the device manager as "Unknown peripherial",
    The hardware ID is ACPI\ELAN1000

But when I installed the smart gesture pack for windows 7, I got a weird problem as the installation still could complete successful even if the peripherial was still "unknown",
And had another problem packed with it...

    I uninstalled the smartgesture

What light and easy driver for this touchpad should I instal ?...just for it to work, I don't need much more than: "move the cursor " "left and right click"
