Sony Vaio drivers needed Win7 64bit

As the title says, I'm looking for drivers for my sony vaio. Details of my machine are as follows:

    Product Name: SVF1521A2EB
    Model No.: SVF152C29M
    BIOS Version: R0250DAA

Sony support sites (even the Asian one) aren't much help. Its all very confusing. The ask for model numbers and that returns zero results. Further searching then comes up with dozens of products, none of which match the above product name but ALL say they're also known as SVF152C29M.

    Confusing to say the least.

I am also making recovery media via the 'Vaio Care' Utility on the machine's windows10 installation (just in case).

I have found and downloaded Vaio Care version 8.4.7.12061 as its supposed to be for win 7 64 but I'm not sure if that contains all relevant drivers or if I have to find and download them manually. In case you're wondering I had the laptop donated to me, hence my unfamiliarity with Sony laptops and driver installation/requirements etc.

I'd just like to have my windows 7 on the thing regardless of lack of support and Microsoft trying to strong-arm everyone onto windows 10. Who's PC is it anyway?

Any help here for what drivers I actually need would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Is that number it gives you in vaiocare>system information? There is usually a number under the battery.

    Thank you for your reply.

Yes it is. Vaio care info as follows:

    Vaio Care version: 8.4.7.12066

    Model name: SVF1521A2EB

That's from the vaio care screen on the machine. However I have found a discrepancy that might be relevant.

On the actual machine the labels under the battery pack state the info as in my original post.

    Product Name: SVF1521A2EB
    Model No.: SVF152C29M

So on Sony's site I think I entered the Model number rather than the product name because they ask for the Model name so I entered the model number which is what I thought they meant rather than the product name.

I'll have another go and report back.

As ever, that came up with 'No Results' Apparently this must be a phantom machine.
I've a mind to simply shove my win7 ultimate cd in the drive and do a legacy install and see what happens.

Check under the battery for the number. Sony numbering is very confusing for the punters. I think the last few digits could be some sony internal info about minor details depending on the sales region the product was intended for. I would guess the B at the end stands for black. Number under battery might not be the same, though it probably starts with SVF152

Thanks. I checked under the battery and the model name in the vaio care screen checks out with the Product name under the battery. The laptop's case is indeed black.

Go for something starting with SVF152 here:

Wow thanks! At least that came up with the Model/Product name when I omitted the 'B', from the equation.

I'll see what win 7 drivers there are in the list and grab them.

    Another method:

If you currently hyave win7 on that machine, just export the drivers from the current win7 installation into a folder which you can then zip up and save somehere.

I would use dism++ for exporting. While you are at it, you could back up the win7 activation as well.

    Dism++10.1.1000.100.zip

The laptop has win 10 on it (auto upgraded from 8.1 apparently.) My main machine is running win 7 ultimate 64.

Thanks for the backup link. It will be useful once I have win 7 on the laptop. I'll have to do a clean install first which is why I wanted the drivers. Thanks for dism++ too. Appreciated.

And stay safe during this damned Corona thing.
