The implication was there. There isn't any reliable evidence that one manufacturer is more reliable than another for any given type of disk.

    Your own experience is anecdotal.
I'm not here to get into an argument with you. I posted what I posted and replied to your query.

I also said in the post you quoted that I've been using Samsung SSD drives since 2014 and none has died yet; It was my countering experience to the OP's experience.

The 0.00000010 was tongue in cheek. As I've said many times here and other places... if it's man made it'll break. My philosophy didn't change.

    Have a good day.

Not an argument. It is thing humans often do. We are not very logical on the whole.

If Acme product type x has a one year failure rate of 5%:

Somebody might buy 10 pieces of x which all work fine.

Somebody else could buy 10 pieces of x and one fails.

Somebody else could buy 10 pieces of x and two fail.

    etc.

    They will have different experiences.

An age old solution to a new drive, seen by the BIOS, but not seen by Windows.....
Windows cannot see a HD that is not partitioned and/or formatted.

I use EaseUS Partition Manager to format all my new drives before I attempt to use them. Eh?

Then I have no problem with Windows seeing the drive.

    Cheers Mate!

Thank you to the people that put the fixes up. Worked for my Asrock Taichi x470 with new WD 1 TB SN750.

    NVMe SSD Windows7 doesn't detect

Just got a brand new Addlink S92 2TB NBVME Internal Gaming SSD - Gen3 PCIe, M.2 2280 on my PC. It fit the MoBo perfectly, and the Bios detects it OK. However, Win7 won't detect it as there doesn't seem to be a driver available. The MoBo has been configure for the M.2 SSD and the boot order has been assigned.

Windows doesn’t start (blue screen of death), keeps rebooting up to the Windows splash screen and reboots after the screen of death.

The question I have is how to install both KB’s below when windows 7 doesn't start?

    Install both KB2990941-v3 and KB3087873-v2
