Windows 7: DVD Drive gone?

DVD Drive gone?

I was here a couple of days ago about windows 7. I upgraded to windows 7 it works fine :P

Now the only problem is my DVD drive keeps disappearing :|
I did a system restore once and it worked fine now I go to use it and it is gone.. again.

I went to asus's downloads and couldn't find the driver for an optical drive. Please help I don't want to system restore again because I just installed a lot of programs.

Hi go back to the Asus site and get everything that there is for your machine, meaning everything that is there.
Download and install.

Can you put Recovery Drive D on a flash drive to free up hard drive
