Windows 7: Windows 7 x32 nForce4 driver

W7x64 Pro, SuSe 12.1/** W7 x64 Pro, XP MCE

Yes, but that is the problem. In Programs and Features, there are 6 Nvidia listings. I know what 5 are, but one only says Nvidia Drivers...nothing says nForce. In the Device Manager, the only things that seem to be from the nForce driver are the network controller, which is working fine, and nForce MIDI UART, which is not of consequence at the moment.

Win Xp/7

From the programs and features doubleclick on nvidia drivers entry, and uninstall all drivers apart from graphic ones. Reboot and install new ones. If they are for vista, choose compatibility mode.

Vista Ult64, Win7600

That's what I would try also, what Sirdan said.

Thanks, that worked in as far as getting everything in the Device Manager to show the way that they should, but the system is still running like mush. This is the RC 7100 of W7 because I don't yet have another copy of W7 x64 Pro to install. I moved the drive containing it from my primary rig to my secondary one, thinking that I would use it as my test setup while learning how to setup my home network, but I may have to do that with XP instead. This was never a speed demon, but now it is so slow that it's too distracting to learn anything new with.
