    Windows 7 x32 nForce4 driver

I'm just getting my secondary rig up and running again, and I went to find the nForce driver for it, but Googling I found a myriad of drivers from 6.86 up to 23.10.09 scattered across the web. Usually the higher the number the better, but in this case I'm not certain.

I didn't find any downloads directly from Nvidia, but I remember reading that they aren't supporting nForce4 any longer. Still I would think that they would still have their last WHQL driver available. Which should I use?

The latest Vista one you can find. Install in Vista compatibility mode.

I'm not finding it. All of the drivers that I have found are for 2000/XP. I found later drivers listed on pages for Vista/W7, but when I tried to access them, I always got the message that they had been removed due to copyright problems, or something similar to that. I did find a Vista/W7 x64 driver very recently, but I don't recall where that I found it. I really could use a link, if anyone had one?

Windows will probably install drivers for you. See how it goes.

I don't think so. Windows Update never installed the nForce driver for x64, I had to manually install it myself. Without the nForce driver being installed, the internet connection on that rig is extremely poor.

This is the last driver on the NVidia website. It is listed under Legacy.

    NVIDIA DRIVERS 15.23 WHQL

It states that it is for Vista, but it should work for Window 7.

Hmm, I just finished installing 15.49 from the link in sirdan's link, but they don't seem right. They took an extraordinarily long time to install, then Windows said that they may not have installed properly, and gave the option to reinstall with setting for W7. This took equally long, but I didn't get the error message again.

Now, going into the Device Manager, I see the Nvidia Network Controller, but when going to IDE ATA/ATApi controller, it list alot of items that are similar to what my x64 system did, before I installed nForce 4 on it. It is this that I thought was effecting the turtle slow response time of my x32.

I'm going to try again, this time with the link in Dwarf's post, but I started wondering if there is something that I should uninstall first?

Completely uninstall the old driver first...
