    emmc driver

    lenovo-IdeaPad 120s. It's with SSD/emmc 32GB. needs its Win7 32-bit driver (NOT 64-bit)

I have read emmc posts here.

Installing Windows 7 on Sandisk eMMC chip
Lenovo 110S driver fail after Windows 7-64 install

SIW2 has offered the driver. I am going to take a try. Do I also need to add Intel controller when DISM?

Thanks SIW2, your emmc driver on Win7 is useful. I am testing it on my Lenovo IdeaPad 120s. It still requests I2C Win driver which is no go according to my google search.

    my 1st install try failed

I followed the procedure below to re-create Win7 Pro 32-bit install media, using SIW2's tool 7UPv64F.zip
Update your Win 7 installation media

added eMMC driver from here. Only two files added (x84. no need of x64)
    Braswell_EMMC_driver_x86.zip fujitsu-eMMC-driversx86.zip

When re-create completed, copied it into a 16 GB USB drive.
boot my machine on a USB port.
    1. USB3 working. boot smooth. and keyboard and mouse both functional (USB3 works)
    2. when boot done, select to "start to install". but there wasn't any storage to install. I did search drives I could see. C:drive and X:drive. no eMMC drivers found.

my 1st question, is the tool working for 32-bit? (gigabyte web has a utility, can do similar re-create job. but only working on 64-bit. I did try several times. and 64-bit working but 32-bit failed. I did re-create on different machine. still install 32-bit failed).

2nd, any suggestion? I have seen USB3 driver working. This hints, folder path is ok. are Braswell_EMMC_driver_x86/fujitsu-eMMC-driversx86 right drivers? Anyone got it working and got Win7 install successfully?hanks,

    Do I need to add

    my 2nd try also failed.

my 3rd try after I did more home work.

    1. right. Braswell_EMMC_driver_x86 is out-of- date. The latest one is Maintenance Release 4 (can be downloaded from the link here).
(Intel Atom E3800 Win7 IO Drivers MR4. it works for Intel Broxton, system devices 5Axx)
Here is the link of Intel Serial IO Win7 driver...

    or, direct link
Intel(R) Processor I/O Controller Driver for Windows 7* for Intel(R) NUC

    2. since the present installation media is bootable. USB3 works. hence no need to change. I just simply copied folder of new driver into USB drive

Boot on USB3 port as usual. then manually search and insert iaiosd (SD/eMMC driver. eMMC* and SD cards have same the driver files per Intel), for system devices 5AXX. For details, please read Intel User Guide (pdf).

But even the latest driver visible and loaded, the eMMC still hidden. no way to install Win7.

I stopped here. changed to install Win10 32-bit. this version main issue was no drivers working from 64-bit. I tested one-by-one, drivers of Win7 32-bit (hunting down them from webs)

eventually my IdeaPad is running 32-bit, Win10. yes, this way, it can have more spare room on the 32GB eMMC/SSD. there are about 15GB free size now.

Since Win7 drivers working on this one. It's pretty sure, if eMMC bootable on Win7, Win7 should be running on this machine.
(my concern is, Lenovo whitelist eMMC)
