    install iso WIN7 USB3x MBR works/UEFI doesn't work - why?

    Hello

    Me again

I'm kind of getting used to new technologies. I converted the same installation dics(USB) with WIN7 that I have for Legacy MBR to EFI. And now what's phenomenal is that it doesn't work or install USB3x driver in this EFI mode, while the same MBR installation disk installs fine. What's the trick?

    Tnx

But I can point out that none of the USB ports work if I install WIN7 with UEFI mode. While WIN11 works normally. The same drivers for WIN7 in MBR legacy mode also work, only UEFI does not. This is strange to me. By the way, Windows itself is installed, only when it starts for the first time there are no drivers, or the mouse cursor and also the keyboard is dead. Sure, a PS/2 mouse might or might not solve this, but I think we need to solve this without a PS/2 mouse and keyboard. I should mention that all of this is on an Intel 12th generation CPU or on MB B660M DS3H DDR4.

Thank you. I will try. Although, as mentioned, the drivers are already added and it works in the MBR. Unless they are different for UEFI

    Hi

do hope you have turned OFF secure boot......

not sure if you will also have to play around with the TPM/driver signing settings as well as your on a Gen12 CPU
    check your MB manual

You already installed WIN7 UEFI, but none of the USB ports worked on the first boot

Does not work! Windows is installed, during the installation the drivers and USB ports work, but when windows is installed and the 1st boot, there is no active USB port. Weird

And only in UEFI MODE, in LEGACY MBR the USB port works normally

I don't know what to do...

Finally! I managed to make a UEFI WIN7 installation ISO!

It was not a problem in the USB3.x drivers, but in one of the others. ...which were apparently only in UEFI a prerequisite for the operation of the USB controller. I don't know why they are different from the drivers for MBR/or why he didn't install them in UEFI mode like in MBR, without integration in ISO.

I have added all the found and related drivers for my MB GB B660M... Except for the two that are apparently not online so I'm still looking for them

Thank you all for your cooperation
