ATI Mobility Radeon X300 Installer issue

I extracted the CAB file still on the Update Catalog
I installed the device with Dev-Man

Then it said "The system could not find the file specified" after selecting the driver folder, and the device.

The system is a Dell Inspiron 9300, I am attempting to get Aero affects, which according to Windows Vista is possible.

According to this specs page ATI Mobility Radeon X300 Specs | TechPowerUp GPU Database the card was released on 2005 which is the XP era. Also it isn't compatible with Directx 11 which is what Windows 7 runs. As far as I know it won't be possible to run that card on Windows 7. What has me confused is that I found drivers for Windows XP all the way through 10. Therefore I don't know what to tell you. Perhaps someone else can shine some light on this. I found multiple driver versions. Perhaps try a slightly older one. ATI MOBILITY RADEON X300 Drivers Download for Windows 10, 8.1, 7, Vista, XP What you can do is try extracting all of the files from the installer using either winrar or 7-zip and under device manager select "update driver software" and point it to the extracted folder and let it scan the folder for the driver. Make sure that you download the correct architecture for your install either 32 bit or 64 bit.
