finding the last driver amd supports for win10 build 1709
I realize theres a ten forum, but I really like this one. Im used to it and familiar with it. I hope its ok I post about w10. I also appreciate I get less of the same nonsense "security risk, you must update!!!!" harrassment many do.
I have a pc with w10 thats for some old gaming and editing wedding pics there.
the pc will NEVER be connected to the internet. if I am forced with w11, I will install it but it will never get connected to the internet. im not playing windows game.
anyways, pc is 5600x rx590 32gb ram, sata sssd b550m aorus elite MB
anyways, Im wanting to see if I can get a newer used gpu. maybe 5700xt maybe 6600xt
I had a hard time finding a driver that works with build 1709 for the rx590. I used ntlite to make it more optimized and its the build that allows me to rip out alot of nonsense ms put in. I wont upgrade because I have no need. it wont get connected to the internet ever, this is how it will be from now on. 2x w7 as daily and 1 w10 for editing/gaming.
I play older games like crysis batman arkham asylum, mirrors edge gta 4 mw2. I buy them used on dvd. I dont care for steam. I prefer to own the media. and dont play newer games.
so all this yapping bs I wrote here, bottom line im asking how can I find out whats the last version driver thats supported for build 1709 for the gpu? with nvidia, you can choose any for the needed os and it works. why with amd its a pita? not into video with how they treated evga, my favorite mfr so no nvidia, even though itd be a used gpu
installing rx590 drivers was trial by error. I installed a driver, it said os not supported. then I kept installing one before it and so forth, till one of them installed. a long process

this is for the 6600xt
any suggestion or insight REALLY appreciated.
