philips SAA713x PCI TV card PROBLEM

Hello ... I need little help with my tv tuner card. I bought it like one year ago, it worked on XP prof. but it doesn't work on my Windows 7 32 bit.. So the problem is the driver (I think).. On the disk which i got with the card there are two drivers for XP and rest of that OS like ME Win 98... and for Vista... I tried to install bouth of them but neather didn't work. When I had it installed on my XP the programme name was honestach, and when I installed in for Vista the name was TV Expert, so I need some programme that is similar to this only for Win 7

When I open setup it says Philips SAA713x PCI TV card.

Ok so when I isntalled driver for vista and opened the programme I noticed that there is no Picture, I mean I cant watch any channel neather to hear it... The only thing that works is the remote control I can change channel, or mute or basicly I can do everything but theres no picture..

So does anyone have any similar TV tuner card or had some silimilar problem, I would like to hear it, and hear how to solve my problem..

Also I tried to go to propertis and set that compability but it didnt help..

I don't speak English very well, Im sorry QQ

Hi Aram , this article from Microsoft will help you install the drivers correctly Kworld Global TV Terminator - TV7131 PCI TV Card = Philips SAA713X Drivers Download if you still have no joy try loading the drivers in compatibility mode Compatibility Mode the TV card is rather old now and has become what is known as a legacy card which means the Manuf no longer supports it

    Aram,
The remote may have drivers from a different manufacturer so if you can provide the manufacturer and the model number someone may be able to further assist you.

Hi again Aram , try this link TV Tuner/ Video Capture PCI Card with Remote Control it has the remote control software but is only for winxp so you may have to install in compat mode Compatibility Mode if you have the original disc that came with the tuner ,you should be able to extract the RC software off the disc and install in compat mode

Welcome to Seven Forums Aram You've recived excellent help and am glad to here the major problem seems to be resolved. As for the remote I've had several TV cards and all of them have had some kind of problem with the remote, if not at first further down the road. I don't think the manufacturers put much effort into making sure their remots work well. Even my newest PCI-e cards remote won't function properly. I've pretty much decided that when I buy a TV card remote orn ot doesn't relly matter cause I've never had much success with them.Enjoy your TV. Fabe
