    Need sound driver?

    I am having a sound problem as in no sound at all is playing, I dont know how to find what sound drivers I need or how to get them. Help? Thanks.

    Also the sound was working just a week ago. I dont know what has happened. The same thing happened when I first installed but then one day I woke up and the problem was miraculously fixed.

    I am running 32 bit Windows 7 Beta Build 7000 on a Dell Dimension 8400

    Hi Matt,

    Please try jfar's suggestion with DriverMax. It might even find other necessary drivers that your system needs. Below are additional references for your system.

    There are two types of sound cards that ship with a Dell Dimension 8400. Please follow the link to the type of sound card you have;

    Analog Devices ADI 198x Integrated Audio - links to an OptiPlex 160 audio driver resource but will work for the built-in audio in Dimension 8400

    Creative Labs SoundBlaster Audigy 2 ZS - lists the latest drivers for this device

    Cheers

    You might want to take a look at Windows 7 Codec Pack, here.
    Might solve the flash issue you're encountering.
