Use the one I got from Startech, they resell this unit. I have used it on Win7 and it works perfectly. RapidShare: 1-CLICK Web hosting - Easy Filehosting

File is gone. I'll search for Startech and see if I can find their driver.

When you try to install it manually and tell windows to search online for driver, it doesn't find it? For me it installed that way. Anyway, I zipped the driver ,you didn't say for what you are using it, so I don't know if it will work for you, but ,you can try to install manually it from this folder, just unzip
    My 7 is working !!!!

thank you for uploading this file !

    Welcome to Prolific

I installed it Win 7 x64 and in Virtual PC XP Mode without any problem.
The Prolific PL2303 v1210 driver on that page works fine for me, with Win7 64 bit.
SillyMan's link is the correct place to go, for a device using Prolific chipset.

    Hi,
Software cannot communicate with the assigned com port even though W7 device manager says it is fully working. Tried changing the port number to COM2 (assigned COM5) but software cannot detect. The same cable worked in Vist and in W7 RC but a clean install of w7 won't allow the program to access the com port.
Tried a Virtual W2000 installation in VM but it seems the hardware is still not seen which points the problem at W7.
    Any ideas

    This driver Works

After many problems I found a VISTA driver on this page

    Uniden USB Cable

Install as Vista Service Pack 2 and administrator, then it worked for me.
