    LOL - I didn't mean read all 107 pages

I meant if you had a question or problem, that would be an area to post to. Heck I've been here for awhile and I haven't read all 107 pages, even though I have posts there :)

Yup, got my nice new SSD. It installed smoothly and seems to be running well. - I'm a little lazy when it comes to benchmarking my stuff--I'm just happy it works when I install it.

I did finally figure out why Nikon Scan would hang up/be non responsive:
It was a Windows Update of a Dell Printer Driver (model A920, to be exact). It seems there was a conflict in this driver that corrupted Nikon Scan. Luckily, I found the right driver on the Dell website and it now seems to be playing well with Nikon Scan.
It was a bit of a PITA to go through all this just to get my scanner running on Win 7 64 bit. But, I did learn the value of a clean install, and I probably will do the same whenever I migrate to a new OS. Using transfer programs seems to invite problems down the road.

Only when there are bad drivers involved. Anyway glad to hear you got it all sorted and working. Enjoy the SSD drive. I definitely enjoy mine.

Should you have any other issues/questions with/on 7 we're here for you.

    Peace

A GREAT BIG THANKS SYGNUS 21 for putting this together!!! I haven't been able to use my Nikon Super Coolscan 9000 since I installed Windows 7 on this computer. I did a Rocky dance after installing this fix and it worked perfectly!!

Hi Cygnus 21. My 9000 scanner now works with windows 7 but I cannot get it to accept a twain source. It will only use a temporary folder and when I try to save a large file I get a message that the temporary file is full. Can you help me or send me in the right direction to get help with this problem? Thanks!
