    and check the Machine tab and look for as more details.

    Mine is [GeForce 6100 nForce 405]

    Then maybe we could look up the specific model.

    Actually there was an update for mine in Windows Update.

    I do not know if there is an update for mine because I can not use Windows update. It can not connect online to check. But carrying out your suggestion. Be back in a few.

    The only available "update" is for the Wireless assistant. My problems seem to be with my ethernet controller. And this laptop is a little under 2 years old I think so I do not think I qualify for the upgrade assistant.

    Anymore ideas? I have tried a few more drivers to no avail. Could a complete install of Windows 7 do anything. I only upgraded from Vista.
