Webcam Gateway drivers

    although its the built in microphone same as the built in webcam, the drivers i cannot find, and its becomming a pain . and since i dont have the respawn CDs, its once again frustrating but i do appriciate all the help, thanks guys.

    Once again... Try going into Recording devices, your Mircrophone should be listed in there. Right click it and choose "Set as default device"... I don't think you need a special driver for it, unless you're certain that you needed one while using Vista. In that case, I recommend getting support from the Gateway website and they can point you in the right direction.

    Of course. It's better to ask for support from the manufacturer rather than chasing hacked or unofficial drivers, which may always cause a problem.

    unfortunatly, i have downloaded the correct drivers, and still no dice they it keeps telling me something about it not being the right one when it clearly states (gateway M6864-fx), right on the sound driver. its is very annoying, although thank you guys, i do appriciate the help.

    Is it the 64-bit version? If not, that may be the issue.
