Been meaning to post, mine hasn't had a problem in quite a while either. Maybe some automatic update in Win7 addressed it?

I have a M1330 and those are the exact drivers I use on it posted above. If your touch pad isn't working properly it could be a hardware issue or maybe a loose connection somewhere.
I have two Dell Laptops with the Dell Touchpads. Dell Mini 9 Netbook and Dell Inspiron 1525. They use the same Alps driver version 7.1.1500.2 which was loaded automatically by Windows 7 build 7100. Search for that version.
I have a similar problem.
When I click in the window, it looses focus.
When the OS starts the mouse click work fine. After some time I start seeing this problem.
This is happening on a desktop (not a laptop). I have Kingston Trackball drivers installed by OS.
The only workaround I have found is starting task manager. I had this problem in Vista also. Was hoping Win 7 would have fixed it.
My issue has been resolved by Dell replacing the touchpad, motherboard, hard drive, (then upon them wanting to replace the LCD too???), I talked them into replacing the whole laptop. Now it is running great.
hi ... after all parties to insist on the touchpad (which was the only problem was I q) in my dell Inspiron after installing windows7, finally found the solution blissfully ... have to download the dell driver R165804 and it saved .... and then execute them will appear that can not be installed .... then go to the folder where you downloaded the default is C: dell/drivers/R165804 said setup ... it installed and ready (well to me .. weird way because you install it and failed, and then showed me the notice had not been installed well that if I wanted to reinstall it ... if you say .. and UALA. !
