    Driver for KEyboard Filter

Greetings. I have been reading other threads about the instructions to update the driver for the "keyboard filter" but I didn't feel adequately that they applied to me. So, my basic question is, do I absolutely need to do this to have a working keyboard when I finish?

Did a CD come with this,

You could try the Vista drivers if they're available

You could lose function of some of the quick launch keys. See post #3 in this thread. Fabe Keyboard filter and Windows 7

Sorry for my ignorance, but what are quick launch keys? And if I don't know what they are now, is it likely I'll miss them?

Quick launch keys are keys on your keyboard used to quickly launch you in to your email, or web cam, digital media, calculator, hybernate, mute amd various other programs with the pressing of just one or 2 keys at a time. To say copy and paste or make a screenshot, print ect. They can be setup to do a lot of different functions that most people use a mouse for. And no you don't need this to have a working keyboard if all you use it for is to type. Fabe

Do the quick launch keys need to be uninstalled before the upgrade through add/remove programs or can I just leave them as they are and then install the W7 drivers after the upgrade? (upgrading from vista to W7)
