lol i always put a fresh install on laptops i get to get rid of the crapware that always comes with em. so it came installed with 7, i reinstalled 7. also i have had it online and done the update (thats what i spent ALL of christmas eve and christmas doing... trying to make this amazing machine do amazing things). i have been googling this whole time and somewhere it said that nvidia raid controllers can conflict with newer windows 7 builds. idk losin my mind here.

on an unrelated side note... the spell checker for this forum underlined christmas but not googling. technology is getting out of hand.
Right, I saw that. Sager says it is Windows 7 ready, and arrived with 7 installed. Did you have any of these issues with the factory installed 7?

Your error report suggested it was your graphics card causing the problem, so unless "Device Manager" is showing a problem with the RAID drivers, I would not be concerned with them as yet. If you haven't already, click the start button and type Device Manager: are there any issues showing there?

    Christmas should be capitalized.

Have you gone into Device Manger, and see if any drivers are not working.? (like your Video Card)

To do that click the start button and type Device Manger and hit enter.

    Hope this Helps.

    EDIT: Same Question as iseeuu

That tells me that Sager has all the correct drivers and software to run the laptop in a stable platform. Now you just need to weed out the individual conflicts causing your issues. No problem! You just may need to get the software / drivers directly from Sager's web site, when you have Internet access.

Ok i reinstalled windows from disc, didnt install any of the drivers that came with the computer. I within 10 minutes of starting windows i went to the event viewer and found 21 warnings and 4 errors.

Error - Event ID 7000: Software Protection service failed to start due to the following reason: service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion

Error - Event ID 7009: Timeout reached (30000 milliseconds) while waiting for the Software Protection service to connect.

Error - Event ID 512: InitializePrintProvider failed for provider inetpp.dll. This can occur because of system instability or lack of system resources.

Error - Event ID 1001: Your computer was not assigned an address from the network (by the DHCP Server) for the Network Card with network address (bunch of freakin numbers). The following error occurred: 0x79. Your computer will continue to try and obtain an address on its own from the network address (DHCP) server.

Warning - Event ID 1008: The Windows Search Service is starting up and attempting to remove the old search index.

Warning - Event ID 219: The driver \Driver\tunnel failed to load for the device ROOT\*ISATAP\0000.

(17 of these) Warning - Event ID 129: Reset to device, \Device\RaidPort0, was issued.

(2 of these) Warning - Event ID 15: The embedded controller (EC) returned data when none was requested. The BIOS might be trying to access the EC without synchronizing with the operating system. This data will be ignored. No further action is necessary: however, you should check with your computer manurfacturer for an upgraded BIOS.

Then there were 831 information events. Screw typing that. Please let me know if this helps at all.

Yeah, don't type all that. Do you have a "Sager Restore Partition" or restore DVDs?

Just a thought: you could restore the factory 7 then instead of a wipe and reinstall, do a install repair or even a custom install. A custom install will put all the factory files in a windows.old folder on the new 7 and would perhaps allow you to use them to correct issues?

Lots of step by step here: Repair Install

    ?

Right ... undo the wipe and reinstall with a restore to the Factory installed 7? Then keep all the working drivers by doing a repair install instead of a wipe and install?
