Windows 7 problem with GeForce 9600M on Vaio

    Hi
I have quite a problem. I just installed new Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit on my Vaio VGN-AW 21 S/B notebook and the os don't recognise my graphic card: GeForce 9600M GT. It uses a Standard VGA card which obviously isn't the one i have in there :).
As i red, it's an often experienced problem with this graphic card. Anyway, I didn't find a way to solve this.
Afer some forums research, i found that the problem came from an invalid "ID number" or something like that in the driver.

I already tried to install the latest drivers from Nvidia but nothing works, it just says that "Setup program could not locate any drivers that are compatible with your current hardware".

Anyone already experienced that or know a way to solve this?

    See ya!

    Hi and welcome.

I wrote a basic guide here - NVIDA Driver Install - Start To Finish... Try those steps and see how you go, any issues report back.
