    Aspire Revo Bios/Drivers for esata

My ASPIRE REVO works fine until I try to get it to communicate with an external esata SSD ( OCZ Vertex ). Communication with the drive is random. I need advice on Bios settings please to ensure solid BIOS detection.

can we get the serial number or exact model number(not series number) it will make finding the drivers much easier.

I have added the serial numbers for the computer and the motherboard to my system details.
The PC was delivered with Vista installed and I have since wiped it and installed Windows 7 ultimate.
Can you please clarify for me from where the sata drivers and bios drivers originate ?
I realise that this is probably a stupid question but I find that I am confused as to what drivers (if any) are installed when I install windows and what drivers are altered when I upgrade the "chipset Drivers" etc.
Also one last question. Does the esata port need to be setup with different drivers/settings than the sata port which of course powers the internal sata hard drive. ?
Trying again to get things working yesterday points towards sata driver settings
    Many thanks
