Windows 7 problems :(
Used to have Windows Vista. Decided to install Windows 7 today.. Two annoying issues.
1. Resolution Back when i had Vista, my monitor could go at a higher resolution. Right now everything is weirdly stretched. Ièm pretty sure this has something to do with my video drivers but i donèt know which one to install. I canèt even find my Video Cardès name in the device manger. Luckily i remember the model. Itès a Nvidia 7000m. 2. Keyboard I think this is my mistake. I accidently changed the language to ( english canada) now i get stupid accented letters when i want apostropheès and periods. I went back to control panel, keyboard languages and changed it back but its not working ![]() On top of that my keyboard is also making me type things i donèt want to. Its hard to describe but when i type fast, itèll randomly go back to the old page or jump paragraphs when i type. PLZ HELP ME! T_T ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() EDIT: I just fixed the keyboard language issue. Now its just the resolution and the weird keyboard jumps. |

Then go to the very top of the list where it says User(your username) Right click>Scan for legacy hardware. See if it fixes it,otherwise have you the exact model of keyboard? And are you using 64bit or 32bit windows7 and is it a notebook or desktop? |

I'm using a 32 bit windows 7 on a laptop. I managed to get the keyboard language done but the weird jumps during typing still happens.
Here's my device manager if it helps. I'm pretty sure back when i had vista it said Nvidia 7000m under the display adapter. ![]() |

NVIDIA DRIVERS 179.48 BETA Or click on graphics drivers in the grey box in this window and it will try to scan your pc for relevant graphics drivers http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us Download and save that file to your desktop. There should be a .exe file or application file there to automatically install the drivers. As for the keyboard, did you do what i said in my other post? |

The jumping could come from you accidently touching the touchpad. Change the sensitivity of the touchpad. As to the Nvidea 7000M - that is a pretty low end Graphics (class 5). Unfortunately you will not get much help from Nvidea. All they have for 7000M is "sponsored links".

Gouki, Glad you have had some success with your graphics drivers. You need to tell us the name and model number of your laptop so we can help you further with your install of win7. You may need some chip set drivers to fix your keyboard situation.
