Mustek 1200 UB Plus drivers

Anyone managed to get this scanner working with Windows 7 Pro 64 bit?
Some people using Vista seem to have got it to wok but I've had no luck!!

download latest driver which is not available via normal support page ftp://ftp.mustek.com.tw/pub/driver/1200UBPlus/98-XP/12LV20/

..you just have to pause during installation when the "language choose menu" appear. Connect your scanner and the windows would do the rest

Note: if you've attempt to install it before. Go to "Device Manager" and uninstall troubleshooted hardware..which is your scanner then disconnect it and then reconnect it again

Would you be able to send me this file, I've tried a number of times to download it, but the throughput is very slow and most time the download fails due to timeout,

I managed to download it, but I'm using wiondows 7 pro 64bit and it complains that this version wont work, I also tried to run the setup in compatibilty mode with windows xp sp3 but still comes up with same error, any ideas?

Don't know the x64 thing..yet I think you should try once more. May be just may be you're doing something wrong

UB1200 is working.

You can download a newer driver for a newer scanner from them and I use Coral Draw to actually scan a document. It really works well and even surprised me on how clean a scan it was.

Hi everyone,

my first ever post.... forums have always helped me in all my difficulties, its time i gave back in return... i got d scanner to work fine on windows 7 32 and 64 bit... the procedure is as follows

download both attachments,
install the up_libv13 file using compatibility for xp
unzip the "Mustek 1200 UB Plus Driver.zip" file
copy folder to desktop..
connect device to usb..
go to device manager and scan hardware changes..
find device (called as "unknown device") and click on update driver..
select manual update and direct location on desktop og driver folder (Mustek 1200 UB Plus)..
it will install automatically
ur scanner should be installed
use windows fax and scan to scan the documents enjoy.....

please reply if it has helped you!!!! thanxx

Thanks akshayhemmady you saved my life,so to speak. I have struggled for ages to instal my scanner even to the extent of installing win xp in a virtual machine hosted by Win 7 Ult. Now not necessary. Once again many thanks.

Not working for me, I dunno maybe my compatibility mode doesn't work :/ This whole problem is rather retarded :sarc:

I have tried for win7 64bit and it doesn't work at all: "Windows was unable to install your Unknown Device".

I only can install Mustek 1200 UB Plus driver through the XP VM. I don't see another way to install it.

That's because it is a 32 bit driver. It might work on win7 32 bit, but not on 64 bit.
