now I know theres a 64-Bit driver somewhere cos I had it on 64-Bit vista sometime ago.... I just never kept track of it

    can anyone help?

    Hi snadge, welcome to SevenForums.:)

This should be the driver you are looking for. It is the Vista 64bit driver for the ENE Card Reader/Cardbus.

    Hope this helps.

You can also go to device manager>right click on the (usualy) base system device >properties>details tab>drop down menu> hardware ID(first one) Copy and Paste the hardware ID string and we can find a driver. Most are Ricoh or Texas Instruments. Please post back. Welcome to seven forums and good luck, Fabe

Acer card reader win 7 issues

Well, I have down loaded ever driver that Acer has published for the ENE card reader. No mater which one is installed they show up as working in device manager but the drive does not appear in "computer".

I have installed in compatibility mode both the x86 and the 64 bit versions. I have set the folders view to show empty drives.

The system does give a confirmation "ding" when inserting and and ejecting, and the card reader does show up in the "safely remove hardware list"

I just have not found any way to make it visible.

It shows up in devices and printers fut if you open from there you get the properties page.

    So it remains a mystery...
