    Canoscan LiDE 35 on Win 7 x64

    [QUOTE=scoutfu;548889]Hi,

I figured out how to get this scanner to work in Vista 64 about a year ago and have now got it working in Windows 7 x64. So in case you didn't see my Vista post i thought I'd post it in here also.

It uses the Canoscan LiDE 60 scanner 64bit driver:

Use Winrar, right click the file and select Extract to lide60vst6411111a_64en\

Open the folder it creates 'ide60vst6411111a_64en'

Inside the folder you'll find SetupSG.exe, extract it the same way again and you will find the driver

    Scoutfu,

I downloaded Winrar but what 'file' do I right click on ? to select Extraxt to lide60 etc

I also downloaded the LiDE 60 driver

I followed the Device Manager bit OK but when I browsed the Have Disk no CNQL60.INF file to be found, no SetupSG folder to be found

    Help please !

    You have downloaded 2 files...

    1. Winrar <- Install this
    2. The Driver (lide60vst6411111a_64en.exe)

    Use '1' to extract '2'

Open the folder it creates and....

Use '1' to extract 'SetupSG' <- The driver is in there!

    Scoutfu,

My scanner now makes all the right noises when I start up as though it is now connected/working but when I try to use it I get a box up that says "There is no application registered for this event"

Any ideas ? I think I did everything right but perhaps not ?

    Canoscan Lide 35 on Windows 7 x64

Scoutfu, what can I say, THANKYOU, I went back over your instructions & found I had missed downloading the CanoScan Toolbox ( I too am a silver surfer), having done this my LiDE 35 is now working sweetly, you are a legend, thanks.

    So cloooose

    Aghhh

I tried following your instructions and I think the driver installed fine.

But when I get into Toolbox to scan, it lets me select lide60 as the scanner and when I press SCAN, it says "Unable to select TWAIN source".

What does this mean and how can I remedy this?

    Please help D:
