How to Prevent Video Card Drive Update  

Folks,

I have looked here and at nVidia's site for this problem. My apologies should this be a repeat question.

I am running Windows 7 Preminum 64-bit, and for game compatibility reasons need to use a particular older nVidia driver. I know how to uninstall and install the correct driver, but Windows 7 automatically updates the driver right after.

I have disabled Windows Auto-Updates, disconnected the PC from the Internet, and under "Devices and Printers" disabled the automation there. Still, upon Restart Windows will update the driver.

What must I do to stop Billy from thinking he is helping me?

Do this firstly - type "change device installation settings" in search and disable. You might need a driver cleaner program - go here - guru3d driver sweeper - Guru3D - Driver Sweeper (Setup) download from Guru3D.com

Hope this works - i read somewhere W7 keeps a duplicate of drivers somewhere, so maybe you can bing for some more info if need be, however, driver sweeper is supposed to be compatible with w7 rc, and should work with the final version, so good luck.
