Belkin USB Wireless G F5D7050 Driver Resolved

    Hi All,

Like everyone else I've been having trouble with getting the F5D7050 to work on Windows 7 32-bit. I went through the different compatibility modes using the v4 drivers from Belkin's site. My results ranged from OS not recognizing the driver as compatible to BSOD when using the network. Finally I tried Vista SP1 mode. It works! That's the only mode that worked for me.

    Hope this helps!

Here's something I found that I am going to try when I get home. I apologize for the typing but I copied/pasted from another forum.

Only use driver from W7RC disk (& DO NOT UPDATE thru Windows nor Belkin nor Ralink or it will get botched up again) & gets excellent signal strength & max speed. 1st plug it into USB & wait for auto process to fail. Then click START, CONTROLPANEL, HARDWARE&SOUND, DEVICEMANAGER, look under OTHERDEVICES & click BELKIN54gUSBNETWORKADAPTER, in bar click on button named UPDATEDRIVERSOFTWARE, BROWSEMYCOMPUTER FORDRIVERSOFTWARE, LETMEPICK FROMALIST...ONMYCOMPUTER, select NETWORKADAPTERS & NEXT, under Manufacturer select 1st RALINKTECHNOLOGYCORP, under NetworkAdapter select 802.11gUSB2.0STICK & NEXT, ignore warning & click YES, driver is updated in 3 seconds & shows SUCCESSFULLYUPDATED, click CLOSE. DeviceMgr shows it corrected. Close all windows & see TaskBar shows NOTCONNECTED- CONNECTIONSAREAVAILABLE, make the connection now.

Rejoice, fellow Belkin users! They've recently release a new v4 with compatability specs: "Windows 2000, Windows XP 32 bit, Windows XP 64 bit, Windows Vista 32 bit, Windows Vista 64 bit, Windows 7 32 bit, Windows 7 64 bit; size: 18.6 Mb"!! So go ahead and try it. I've been using it and it seems to have fixed my problem !
