Driver's blocked by Driver Signature Enforcement
Hi, new here.
Trying to put Windows 7 Realtek AC'97 5.37 (6.0.1.6305) drivers downloaded directly from Realteks site onto my Windows 7 Home Premium 32bit PC (w/ latest updates) but during installation, I continue to get the popup about the "Windows cannot verify the publisher of this driver software". When I tell it to install anyway, the popup goes away then re-appears again and just does this infinitely.
I have taken multiple steps to stop the driver signature enforcement of windows security starting with running in Test mode and then also admin cmd line bcdedit.exe -set loadoptions DDISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS
bcdedit.exe -set TESTSIGNING ON
and the security warning continues to pop up. Additionally I have to click on the 'Do not install drivers' about 20 times before it goes away and the driver installation stops and self uninstalls that which has been installed halfway through.
I'm curious about this solution but I am unsure it will work without doing harm.
Does anyone know of a solution that I can do within windows so I can install my audio drivers?
