hi frnds i tried this way but i cant get it .after trying so much i got 100% result.thatis after installing installing w7 u get stander vga drivers then u directly install only[only] this driver [by going through computer managment>displaydrivers>properties>update driver>locate this drivers on hard drive after unziping .]and reboot after installation is completed.
vvimp MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service 2.drag cmd prompt on to the desktop . start run as adminitrator >type Bcdedit.exe /set nointegritychecks ON 3.u can check in dxdiag>display for conformation When you reboot the screen will display as before in VGA mode, but when you log in the new drivers will be detected and installed. The screen will go black. Reboot when the hard disk has become idle. You should now be running with the intel drivers. If you right click on the desktop and click screen relolution, then click advanced settings and then list all modes, you should be able to change to 1280x800 32bit true colour mode. Hope this helps somebody. ![]() |

Thanks everyone for lots of useful information. I have eventually got my Sony Vaio VGN-T2XP working with windows 7. I had trouble using the basic procedure outlined by Frustrated (post 42) above. However, adding two ingredients into the mix worked for me:
1) Follow Arathranar's (post 74) to disable the start up screen which forces a certain resolution and default graphics drivers ("running msconfig and checking Boot->OS boot information. Instead of the animation you now get text showing driver loads and the 0x7E STOP blue screen") 2) For some reason the "bcdedit.exe -set loadoptions DDISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS" command seems a bit unreliable. Another way of disabling these checks is "Use gpedit.msc and navigate to: User Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> System -> Driver Installation and enable the "Code signing for drivers" and then choose "Ignore"." For more details see here. Very pleased, this will give another lease of life to my laptop. |

Using instructions in this link
Install 855GM Series Video Driver on Windows 7 - Tutorial I've gotten my Dell 700m running Windows 7 Ultimate RTM going at 1280 x 800, 32-bit. I couldn't use the DriverMax solution, the notebook was running factory XP A note that when you install the new driver in step #5, the screen blanked out for me. Had to wait a bit for the hard drive to stop spinning and performed a hard reboot. Didn't bother restoring security on the vgapnp.sys file after step #5 |

Flaming Homer,
I am the author of that tutorial. I tried to post it here for all to use but it said that administrator has to evalutate it. I guess someone deleted it!!!! Anyway, It is nice that the tutorial worked for you :) . It took me a while to figure this mess out. I would advise you to do STEP 6 to bring the vgapnp.sys to usuable state. Lexxion |

Lexxion Technique worked on Sony Vaio PCG-TR3AP
Lexxion,
Thank you for your walkthrough on getting the Intel 855 driver going on Windows 7. Your procedure worked perfectly on my Sony VAIO PCG-TR3AP (with Intel 855GM Video) I am now writing this using a beautiful 1280x768 resolution under Windows 7. This machine has never been faster, Window 7 definitely seems to be more efficient than Windows XP. thanks, Larry |
