After some reading of the links on the device support page, you may also need Vaio Launcher.

Windows 7 Individual Drivers and Utilities : Sony Vietnam

You'll need a driver and software to use the camera, which I can't find listed anywhere on the support page.

Maybe I can't see for looking, but there doesn't seem to be a driver or software for the camera there.

I'm thinking he may need to use the update method - http://www.sony-asia.com/support/dow...duct/vgn-cs33g but below is the ftp link to the camera drivers etc -

There are camera drivers on the ftp site (about 6) - ftp://ftp.vaio-link.com/PUB/VAIO/ORIGINAL/

Here are a couple of replies for the camera from one of my threads -

I got my camera working!!! I'm not exactly sure what I did, but I went to the ftp site and started from the bottom up w/ all the ricoh camera drivers... i jus' installed what i could and then i restarted my computer and presto!

I have CR4000 with 4GB of RAM. I installed a clean install of Windows 7 32 Bit. I originally had a problem with the camera, the Function keys and the card reader. It worked after installing the Sony Shared Library from Sony's support even though this was for Vista it worked with with Windows 7 and then I was able to update the camera and fun keys with the files on Sony's site. The only thing that won't work is to enable the Win XP virtual mood as this needs Bios update that Sony still won't do!

Help getting all drivers on Sony CR4000

such a pain, we did a clean install instead of an upgrade. windows 7 has been brilliant for me but this has not been so great, will think twice before upgrading any laptops in future!

After some more searching for a solution for you, I came across this...

Sony Notebook Utilities

Installs the VAIO software component required for Function keys operation.

Note:
Even after installing this file, the Brightness, Monitor Output and Zoom Function keys may not work.
- Sony Upgrade Instructions for Windows® 7

So you might be out of luck, and the only other thing I could suggest, is to try a reinstall, and follow the steps here - vgn-cs33g.

After searching the net for hours, I found out that the upper row (touch sensor) buttons are actually controlled by synaptic pointing device. weird, ha?
The problem is that the driver that sony is offering at the support page of VGN-CS33G is rather old (v9).
you can download v15 from here. it solved my problem.
