I have the Logitech 5500 revolution and both the mouse and keyboard work perfectly. I got this when Circuit City was closing and it was discounted 70%. The little birdy went CHEAP CHEAP!
mine works ok but do you use the game recognition software? as it seems to have been borked in the last four releases , and logitech seem to be ignoring the issue both my emails and posts on their forums..............lovely guys

    Quick question about SetPoint...

I've got a G19 Keyboard and a G9 mouse - currently using the latest kb software.

Is there a reason I'd need the SetPoint software? I can make all the macros I need for the keyboard and so far haven't found a reason to program my mouse - in most of the game I play the extra mouse buttons already have functions I use.

    Thanks in advance....

if your into first person shooters then yes absolutely if not i dont see why you would need it

i play games such as bad company 2 online , i like to play a sniper so i have my mouse set to 2000dpi (when playing the sniper class) even though without the software the highest setting is still 2000dpi its clunky and very innacurate.

also with the software it enables you to preprogram 6 dpi settings instaed of 3 , if your playing the soldier class for example when you jump in a tank or mounted turret they are slow , if you up the dpi a few notches "on the fly" (assuming you have buttons for it on your mouse) you can make the turret/tank as fast as your normal play giving you a huge advantage

also you can increase the polling rate with the software without it you cant

and overall even in windows i find the whole thing smoother with the software running . just give it a go have a poke around at the settings set the software to use "setpoint settings" instaed of windows see what you think

Honestly I am no gamer. Just can't find the time with my wife working nights and me days along with a taking care of a 5 and 2 year old while my wife works. It is hard enough just to use the restroom in peace! Not mention how the two kids torture the poor dog! Walking around the house reminds me of IED's from all the toys every moment which makes me lose sleep. I have tried to play Half life for a year now and still only half way through. Cool game by the way. So I can't comment on the gamer side of the setpoint. I can tell you the video aspect is nicer for my application.

With 12 GB, I think I can afford to waste some RAM

The latest on my Setpoint problem is Logitech has decided my MK320 keyboard and Mouse are "defective" (because the keyboard and mouse tabs are missing from Setpoint) and have offered to replace them. Since the keyboard and mouse work perfectly replacing the hardware seems like a waste of time, but I thought I'd ask for second opinions. I'm not interested in replacing the hardware unless there's good reason to believe it will solve the problem. I'd rather keep using it as is and wait for a new version of Setpoint.

Do the keyboard and mouse have some firmware that might be upgraded in a later production run?

This new version of Setpoint works great.

I have a Logitech Wave keyboard y-uv90, and a Logitech laser mouse with two thumb buttons m-bz105a.

When I pressed the pause/play button on the prior version, it stopped the song. Now it pauses/plays like it is suppose to, plus a nice transparent OSD....:)

An update for Setpoint came through recently. Latest is:

    6.15.6 control center

    5.10.9 driver

Unfortunately it doesn't fix any of my problems.
