Dell Studio Desktop Keyboard drivers
Would any of you loverly people happen to have the Windows 7 drivers for the wired USB keyboard that comes with the Dell Studio 540 desktop?
Having upgraded to 7 I lost the ability to use the hotkeys at the top of the keyboard. Unfortunately I can't find these drivers on the Dell website - only the ones for the wireless. (yes I know it's a crap keyboard but it's relatively small and I like it) Thanks, well to be honest thanks-if-you-have-the-drivers ![]() |

bumping this thread as I have been unsuccessful in getting these drivers and thought I'd give it another go at asking the seven forum people for help.

If you have the Drivers and Utilities CD, look for the Dell Desktop System Software (DSS) as it might be in there since there is nothing on the Dell downloads for this. On the Dell downloads there is a link to Download Factory Installed Software, have you checked that link? Drivers & Downloads

I have looked at the Drivers CD and there are no keyboard drivers on it. Similarly the link for the factory installed software downloads the same as the contents on the CD. That is why I am asking here as I have no resource, be it CD or Dell's website, from which to install the drivers for this keyboard. However they are willing to sell me the keyboard for £21.50. All over the Dell website there is no way to just ask them a question, unless you want to buy something.
I will just have to look at the multimedia buttons as no-one is capable of fulfilling my needs without stating the bleeding obvious or redirecting me to areas which allow purchase. Sorry for the tone but this is getting ridiculous for such a simple and reasonable request. People asking if I have looked on the CD or gone to Dell's website or have I used google not only here but on many other forums is wearing very thin. Dell has produced thousand if not millions of these keyboards, it isn't beyond the realms of possibility that someone somewhere will have the drivers. Maybe it's too much to ask. Maybe poeple just laugh at my choice of computer or keyboard, oh well C'est la vie. Thanks for the replies this time of asking though. However frustrating they were. |

Drivers for Dell Studio Just after the October 22 release date, Dell posted some new graphics and other drivers for Windows 7. How can I tell whether they are needed, or should I assume that Windows Update takes care of making sure the latest drives are installed? |
