What I was asking was for your to fill in all your system specifications. This way we wouldn't have to go and look up your motherboard and find out what onbaord graphics controller it is using. For instance when I click on your system specs lower left hand corner of post you list your graphics card as 256, and your asking a question about why windows 7 is reporting 256 when XP is reporting 128 So to save us time it would be nice for you to have reported what onbaord graphics controller your board had and what the manufacturers reported memory for that is. The attachment I posted shows you where to edit those specs. At any rate here are your boards specs http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Products/...e=GA-G31M-ES2L It lists your onbaord graphics as integrated in the North bridge. So I believe your seeing more memory listed for your graphics in 7 due to the way Windows Seven allocates the sharing of your 2 gb's of memory through the Northbridge with your onboard graphics. Other members may be more familiar with this I so please fell free to jump in and make any corrections needed. Thanks Fabe
