Driver Power State Failure Minidump Analysis Requested

Hey everyone,

Ever since I assembled this computer last August I've had intermittent driver related BSODs. Invariably they have something to do with power as well. The minidump from the latest one is attached to this message. I can provide older ones if needed. I'd appreciate any help with analysis.

My comp specs:
Intel Core 2 Duo E7500 2.93Ghz
Gigabyte Radeon HD 4350

Thanks a ton!

Looks like your audio driver is the cause, but it's hard to tell from just 1 minidump.

I'd suggest updating it, and maybe upload a few more dmps for us.

Although one of them appears to be caused by your anti-virus AVG, the rest point to memory problems.

I would strongly suggest a memory test. Download a copy of Memtest86 and burn the ISO to a CD using ImgBurn. Boot from the CD, and run at least 5 passes.

If Memtest doesn't turn up any errors, consider switches anti-virus to Microsoft Security Essentials and updating your sound driver.

^Thanks so much! I'll try the memory tips tomorrow. I just updated my audio driver and had a crash while rebooting after installation. Attached is the dump.
