Hi AreoX and welcome to Se7en Forums

Your motherboard is based on the NVidia nForce430/GeForce6100. Here are a couple of links from NVidia to suitable drivers (note that they are Vista drivers, but they should work). Select 32-bit or 64-bit as appropriate.

Those should still work if you are using the onboard Lan and not a nic card. If you are connected through usb or another method that would be an item to disable if it interferes at all.

Thanks for the help guys. Apparently WinSeven now recognizes it and has correct drivers. But (as you will see in the images i included) it states my Network Cable is unplugged. IT WORKED ON XP AND I HAVEN'T TOUCHED IT SINCE INSTALLING SEVEN, IT IS INDEED PLUGGED IN. I TRIED DISSCONECTING AND RECONNECTING IT.

Here is my set up: WALL > QUEST DSL > BELEKIN WIRELESS ROUTER > PC

this is starting to get annoying. Not to my audio card will not work either. I don't know what a NIC card is, but I have an Ethernet card
(which apparently has correct drivers installed but still doesn't work)

I have 32-bit Windows Seven build 7000, would getting a more recent build possible help?

Don't take the network cable is unplugged message seriously. It's simply a matter of getting the drivers to go on fully and activate the adapter you use there. I run into that one trying to add on any router to the modem here.

The thing to look at now is getting the drivers on for the pci adapter as well as disabling the onboard NVidia ethernet controlller you see under network adapters! With that enabled the nic card is automatically opposed and made unusable. Right click on the onboard item seen there and click the disable option in the right click menu.

The SIW tool(System Info for Windows) may easily identify the exact make and model card in like if it was Netgear or D-Link that will be shown under hardwares>network adapters once you have that on and simply double click on the stand alone executable version or click the shortcut the updated version sees.

When you need a tool like that check if it's listed in the FREE Great Programs for Windows 7

The home for the SIW tool is found at http://www.gtopala.com/

Alex Just wondering are you running wireless adapter for internet or do you have cable from your router plugged in the back of pc. cause you said "IT WORKED ON XP AND I HAVEN'T TOUCHED IT SINCE INSTALLING SEVEN, IT IS INDEED PLUGGED IN. I TRIED DISSCONECTING AND RECONNECTING IT''.
Like Night Hawk says you have some kind of conflict going on,fix that then get online and windows will find a sound card driver for you.

Well the main problem especially for any 64bit Windows XP or newer is a sad lack of drivers seen for various types of nic cards and other forms of network adapters. Here it is 2009 and the ISP used here now still provides a modem that sees 2000/XP 32bit support while two separate routers have the 64bit help there!

The 7000 x86 here easily grabbed the old 98 drivers for the old dsl setup once went into the device manager to see if the adapter was detected properly and listed there. For the 64bit 7 ouch! I'm still trying to connect with a totally new ISP on any 64bit OS! Just remember to disabled the onboard once you have the correct driver going on to see the adapter active and detected there.

Good News. I found an old USB wireless reciever and plugged it in. I installed the drivers for that yet it still didn't work. I uninstalled the conflicting devices and i now have internet on windows seven!

however, I am running wirelessly so it is a slow connection, I still would like direct wired connection.

Well now you have to see the actual nic card you had been using going again. Once you reboot that onboard controller will tend to reappear again! Using the uninstall option won't last since the next startup will see Windows restore the drivers upon detection.

The solution for the onboard Lan if never used is to see that disabled in the bios. Then any other network adapters will start being seen in that catagory in the device manager. As far as hard wiring I'm stuck with the usb plug in while any router goes to the ethernet port on that.

With the onboard Lan out of the way you should be able to reinstall the drivers again for the nic card through the selection list as you use the update driver option. Did you try the SIW tool yet to see what the make and model was?

I didn't need the SIW tool, becuase once I connected Wirelessly W7 was able to find all my drivers online and update them. I am now running on a wired connection at full speed. Thanks for all the help guys, Hopefully it will hold up

Well glad to see you have that solved but you may still want to know just what nic card you have in for finding and saving the drivers needed for safe keeping.
