I changed the printer driver to HL-1435 instead of HL-1250 and now it is working perfectly for my printer HL-1030 which was not compatible with Windows 7.

I have a Brother HL-1030 connected to my Linux server. I could not access it from my Windows 7 laptop because the driver is not signed. So, I use the HL-2150N driver instead. It works fine for me.

Not working on OSX 10.5/Bootcamp 3.1.0

I've tried the 1250 and 1435 drivers; neither worked. I initially got "Print - Error" statuses on the spooled docs; now I don't even have a status in the spooled docs, but there's a "Printer Error" status on the printer on the overview page.

I've uninstalled & reinstalled the printer; it does not seem to fully uninstall because I can't reuse the name. And the system is incredibly slow, like the printer is getting constantly pinged without success.

Would love to get this working. I have to port docs to the 10.4 Mac to print; it works better!

    "Out of paper" error

I tried installing the printer again on Win7 32bit, a fresh install. After searching for "More drivers" in the Windows install printer dialog box, I tried HL-1040, HL-1430 and HL-1435 drivers (which work for others). Windows says the printer has an "out of paper" error and the printer does not. I tried turning it off & on, doing the soft reset... no luck. Right now my Mac prints on it better! Any ideas?

It works! Had to change LPT1 to USB0002! Yeah! Used HL-1435 driver.
