SOLVED! Can anyone point me to the right audio drivers?

None of the previous drivers mentioned in this thread have solved my problem.

    PnP ID:

    HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_14F1&DEV_5047&SUBSYS_103C30A0&REV_1000
    HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_14F1&DEV_5047&SUBSYS_103C30A0

With the exception of the lack of sound, I am happy to say that Windows 7 looks and runs perfect on this old HP Pavilion DV1000.

    Thanks for any help.

    SOLVED!!!

In a last ditch effort to get the sound working on the laptop, I installed the XP version of the audio drivers. To my utter amazement, that worked!!!

I need a driver for the sound card in my HP laptop called Conexant AC Link Audio. Here are the hardware IDs that you need baarod.

    PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_266E&SUBSYS_30C4103C&REV_03
    PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_266E&SUBSYS_30C4103C
    PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_266E&CC_040100
    PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_266E&CC_0401

I have tried every other possible solution in this thread but didn't work. I hope you can help. Thank you!

Hi im having the same problem as everyone else in here. The sound on my Gateway MX7118 is very choppy during playback unless the program is minimized.

I've tried the links posted but most aren't working and the ones that are dont resolve the problem. Hopefully you can help me as i cant seem to solve this on my own.

    The hardware ID's

    PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_4370&SUBSYS_0506107B&REV_02
    PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_4370&SUBSYS_0506107B
    PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_4370&CC_040100
    PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_4370&CC_0401

Thank you in advance if you can find the drivers. You seem to be a big help around here.

I'm going to kindof pre-write my next tutorial here so other folks can see how I find these drivers. Ready? Let's go...

Please post back with suggestions, etc. as I'm going to use this post as a source for my next tutorial...
Make this a sticky starting with your post as first.

There is no such option available, how you can see here ImageBam - Fast, Free Image Hosting and Photo Sharing I can't extract from winzip as you recommended. Could u type step-by-step how u can extract from executable archive plz??
Like he said, used 7zip or WinRAR not WinZip. WinZip doesn't understand how to extract EXE files that are self extracting archives. 7zip is way better than winzip anyway, it's free and it's what all the cool kids are using Download
Sometimes self extracting archives dump the files and proceed to installing the driver. Some what annoying.

Gateway 7320, Win 7, Conexant Audio, No Sound

I'm just about ready to give up! I've located the "correct" win 7 driver at MS Update catalog...downloaded & installed...no sound. I've downloaded the XP driver from Gateway but I can't run the installer (even in compatability mode) and when trying to force the update by manually choosing the driver I get "the system cannot find the file specified" error message.

I'm running a Gateway 7320GZ with Windows 7. The device info is:
    PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_24C5&SUBSYS_202F161F&REV_03

    Any ideas?

Sound driver issue with HP DV5228CA

Seems to be a recurring theme with doing Win7 upgrades - sound issues with HP products.

    Did you try this:

dv5217cl and windows 7--conexant audio card - HP Support Forum

Make sure you read this thread through its entire progression as the steps given finally worked.

    Hope this helps..
