high point Rocketraid 2300 driver instal?

My brother has a High Point RocketRaid 2300 SCSI Controller (4x SATA ports), installed, so he can add more storage space (more HDD's). I was hoping Win7 would recognize it and automatically install device drivers but it hasn't. When I went to the manufacturer's web page, and downloaded the drivers, there is no .exe file to install, so I am not sure how to install the drivers and get his device working. It is recognized in the Control Pnl-Comp Mngmnt-Device Mngr-other devices, but says it needs a driver to operate, here is the link to the site, any and all help would be very much appreciated. Thanks

When you download, unzip the file. Open control panel, and go to Device Manager, and locate the RAID card in the devices. Right click on the RAID card, open Properties, and choose the Drivers tab. Left click on update driver, and then choose to browse for the driver on your system. Navigate to the folder where you unzipped the file and choose the x86 or x64 folder, depending on your version of 7. Choosing the folder should be enough, but if not, select the *.inf file if Windows doesn't detect it automatically. The rest should be pretty self explanatory.

You may have to update the card's BIOS as well. My recent RAID card install had to be flashed with new BIOS before Win 7 would detect it. There are BIOS flashing instructions on the website.

    Thanks Mellon Head,
that worked great, much appreciated. I never dealt with a sata card before, I have 8 sata slots on my mobo, my brother only has 4, so he needed the card. I thought it would have detected it and simply installed the correct drivers automagically, lol.
    Thanks for the help.
