Are you sure there's a Win7 driver for it? If I'm not mistaken, that scanner was out right after the 320U Acerscan -- and there was not a Win7 driver nor a Vista driver for it.

Check the Windows 7 Compatibility Center to see if the scanner will work with Windows 7. If it is supported, do a search for the Windows 7 driver on the Acer website, Acer Support - Welcome to Acer Support.

Let us know if you find one!

Wow! Win98/Win2000, you sure got a lot of time out of that scanner. I am guessing that if it was compatible with Win98 and Win2000, that it will not be compatible with Windows 7. If you cannot find drivers on the Acer website, you can contact them and ask if there will ever be drivers from Windows 7 (doubtful, but worth a try for one last ditch effort). If you decide to purchase a new scanner, you can look through the ones found here - Windows 7 Compatibility for scanner: Drivers, Updates, Downloads, read some reviews on the net, and make a decision from there.

    I have the 620UT on a WinXP-Pro box.

BenQ was originally spun off from Acer in 2001 to provide a separate branded channel. In 2006 Acer disposed of its remaining shares in BenQ. BenQ hasn't supported the scanners in a long time. Don't expect Win7 drivers, ever.

    Thank you for the reply.
Yet another completely perfect piece of equipment is destined for a landfill.
There is something about our society that smells.
Hopefully I will be able to find someone who can se this item.

    Have a good day.

I'll use mine as long as I can. Like all electronics, today, everything is throwaway. However, they are now recycling because they realized there is money to be made, even from the little bit of gold and other precious metals.
